Data Collected and Processing Purposes
No email address is required for registration; a username and password are enough to create an account. KdVPN does not collect a registration email. The username identifies the account, while securely handled password credentials are used for authentication. When users submit a support ticket, its text and attachments are processed to locate account, subscription, or connection issues.
When purchasing a subscription or traffic package, the system stores the order items, amount, payment status, creation time, and necessary transaction reference information. These records support service delivery, payment checks, refunds, duplicate-order investigation, and necessary financial recordkeeping.
The marketing website may collect visited pages, referral pages, browser type, device category, and basic error information to measure content usage, find page issues, and improve compatibility. Website analytics are handled separately from user traffic on international routes and are not used to analyze content accessed through the subscription service.
No-Logs Position and Connection Data
KdVPN does not record which websites users visit or retain transmitted content, search content, or history that could reconstruct specific network activity. The connection-log policy is not to create long-term records of destinations associated with accounts, nor to organize route usage into personal browsing profiles.
To calculate traffic usage, determine subscription status, and keep routes operating, the system processes the account's used traffic and service status. The route side may generate temporary fault and resource-operation information to identify congestion or resolve issues. This operational information is handled for troubleshooting, not to identify accessed content, and is removed after analysis or aggregated into statistics that do not point to a specific account.
Cookies and Local Storage
The website and user panel use cookies or browser local storage to save login sessions, language preferences, interface state, and necessary security markers. This data keeps users signed in, restores their choices, and blocks abnormal requests. It is not used to build cross-site advertising profiles.
Users can clear related data through their browser settings. After clearing a login session, users must log in again. Disabling necessary storage may prevent the user panel from maintaining authentication, but it will not affect access to public policy and information pages.
Payment Processing and Third-Party Channels
KdVPN supports Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Payment steps may be completed by the relevant channel or payment processor, whose privacy rules apply to data collected directly by that channel. KdVPN typically receives the order completion status, transaction reference information, and settlement results required for processing. It does not store complete payment credentials that the channel requires users to submit directly.
Payment processors receive only the information needed to complete a transaction, refund, or risk check. Before redirecting or confirming payment, users should also review the privacy notice and transaction rules shown by the selected channel.
Data Retention and Deletion
Account details are retained while the account remains active. Support tickets and fault materials are retained until the issue and necessary follow-up checks are complete. Website analytics are aggregated or deleted as needed for operational analysis. Order and transaction records may be retained for settlement, dispute handling, and applicable requirements, limited to the relevant purpose.
Users can log in to the user panel and submit a support ticket to request deletion of an account and eligible associated data. KdVPN processes the request after verifying account ownership. Once an account is deleted, its related subscriptions and user-panel access can no longer be used. Records that must be retained by law or to resolve outstanding matters are access-restricted and deleted or de-identified when the retention reason ends.
Policy Updates and User Choices
Users can view account and order status in the user panel, update information that can be changed, and submit requests to access, correct, or delete data through a support ticket. To prevent someone else from acting on an account, verification of current account control may be required before requests involving account details are processed.
This policy may change as features, processing procedures, or applicable requirements change. Updated text will be published on this page, and the last-updated date at the top will be adjusted. Important changes to the scope of data processing may also be explained through a prominent notice on the website or in the user panel. Before continuing to use the service, users may review the changes and decide whether to keep the account.
